If you’re wondering what this guy has got to do with any of this…

Firstly, I can’t share photos + content because it hasn’t been released by Prime Video yet.

Secondly, during out shoot on the Amalfi Coast of Italy, this man helped drive our equipment up and down the steep roads.

He said “I used to carry pianos on my back as a teenager. I’d carry them up to the churches (he pointed high up, towards a church perched upon a cliff behind us. It looked barely accessible by foot).

I pray I look this good when i’m his age.

Drive, The Pretenders (To be Released)

31 Shoot days across Czech Republic, Germany and Italy.

Concept

A clear brief, honestly one of the best we’ve seen in our lives lol, from Prime Video gave us options as to what we could and could not capture for this project.

The main intention was:

To create an authentic connection with our audience, to our actors, whilst simultaneously tying it back to the promotion of the film.

Production

Integrating ourselves within the crew and working around the main film was a challenge. The main actors were in almost every scene. So how do you create social content with them you might ask?

The answer: With great difficulty, but a load of trust and planning from the crew and Bavaria (main production).

Building a sense of rapport with the talents and all crew members allowed for filming to be done seamlessly between takes. But mostly, a huge sense of trust from our Director, Sergej Moya, gave us time to play with concepts and explore organic moments in between setups.

Post Production (currently in process)

Tasked with editing and post, with Bavaria, we created a streamline process for approving concepts and photos with our talent and the Prime Video team.

Protecting the actors image is important, so agents and talent are brought in early to ensure they feel comfortable with what is created and shared online.

All deliverables and project files are structured for the other Agencies to translate the content into the 90/or so other languages for the country relevant Prime Video Social Channels.
